Guests of the B&B report hearing the sounds of horse hooves and a carriage, as well as a man's voice and whistling. The ghost of a woman has been seen and caught on film looking out of the window at people. An uncomfortable presence is felt by some in several areas of the home. Reports of a vortex or portal area in the basement and another in the upstairs ‘children's room’ have been attributed to Victorian seances being held in the home in the 1800s.
