The Winchester Mystery House® is an architectural wonder and historic landmark in San Jose, CA that was once the personal residence of Sarah m Lockwood Pardee Winchester, the widow of William Wirt Winchester and heiress to a large portion of the Winchester® Repeating Arms fortune.
Tragedy befell Sarah when her infant daughter died of a childhood illness and a few years later her husband was taken from her by tuberculosis. So many tragedies and all while at the residence gaining infamy and superstition. Was the house and those within it cursed? If so by the millions of souls who’s earthly lives were cut short by the bullet of a Winchester firearm? Sarah believed she needed to continue round the clock construction and multiple additions and changes to keep the spirits appeased. Staff and guests all reported alleged paranormal activity here over the decades. Apparitions of Sarah on the grounds. Shadow figures, footsteps and more. The Ghost Finders fly to San Jose to investigate this legendary historic mansion.
